Bai Tao researches SDIC Yangpu port, SDIC Oil & Gas Terminal Yangpu

On March 31, 2021, Bai Tao, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of SDIC, reasearched SDIC Yangpu Port and SDIC Oil & Gas Terminal Yangpu. And Yang Xiaohui, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of SDIC, participated in this survey.

On the morning of 31st, Bai Tao and his delegation first came to SDIC Yangpu Port and boarded the container bridge crane to have a detailed understanding of the port's production and operation, construction of 100,000-ton grain and oil terminal, land development and utilization in the port area and industrial development in the Development Zone. They also visited SDIC Oil & Gas Terminal Yangpu and paid special attention to the tank field and 300,000-ton crude oil terminal. Then, they went to the development site of Xiaochan Beach North Port Area, where learned about the development plan, land development status and later development orientation, and listened to the report on the planning and development of Lingao Jinpai Port Industrial Park.

On the afternoon of 31st, Bai Tao presided over a symposium in SDIC Yangpu Port. After listening to the work report of SDIC Yangpu Port and SDIC Oil & Gas Terminal Yangpu, Bai Tao affirmed the historical contribution of the two enterprises and the achievements made in the coordination of epidemic prevention and control and production and operation in 2020. He pointed out that over the past 20 years, SDIC Yangpu Port has been focusing on its main business, exploring and implementing the development strategy of port-industry integration, and SDIC Oil & Gas Terminal Yangpu has invested and operated Hainan's only 300,000-ton public oil terminal, all of which have made important contributions to serving the local economic development.

Bai Tao put forward four requirements for the future development of the two enterprises:

1. Focus on the main responsibilities and business, identify the development orientation, do the demonstration and research of new projects well, and actively integrate into the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port to serve the national strategy.

2, Benchmark leading enterprises, speed up the construction of smart ports, promote business structure adjustment, innovate business models, and strive to improve operating efficiency.

3. Ensure safety and environmental protection, pay attention to resolving hidden dangers in production safety work, and firmly guard the bottom line of ecological and environmental protection.

4. Strengthen Party building and the construction of a clean and honest government, conscientiously do a good job in Party history study and education activities, create a clean and upright political ecological environment, and welcome the centennial birthday of the Party with outstanding achievements.
